OUR NEEDS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- The Building and Equipping of 10 Sanctuary homes.
- Upgrading the skills of the care-givers and Educare
staff in various areas - a continuous process.
- Development of home gardens to provide a food safety net for
the residents of each home as well as an income, as surplus produce
will be sold to the community.
- Accessing additional specialist services for the benefit of
the children e.g. Social workers, physiotherapy, occupational therapy,
HIV/AIDS awareness training, as well as trauma management and bereavement
counselling, especially for the house parents.
- Introducing community-based training / job creation
projects.
- Day to day running costs.
