OUR NEEDS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. The Building and Equipping of 10 Sanctuary homes.
  2. Upgrading the skills of the care-givers and Educare staff in various areas - a continuous process.
  3. Development of home gardens to provide a food safety net for the residents of each home as well as an income, as surplus produce will be sold to the community.
  4. Accessing additional specialist services for the benefit of the children e.g. Social workers, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, HIV/AIDS awareness training, as well as trauma management and bereavement counselling, especially for the house parents.
  5. Introducing community-based training / job creation projects.
  6. Day to day running costs.

YOU CAN HELP US TO HELP THE CHILDREN IN THE FOLLOWING WAY:

  R 5,000 One-off donation to go towards the development fund of Ikhayalethemba Village and to be recorded on a roll of honour
  R 1,500 Will pay for a trained caregiver for 1 month
  R 1,000 Will sponsor 1 child for 1 month
  R   500 Will feed 1 child for 1 month
  R   250 Will clothe a child
  R   100 Will contribute towards the maintenance and upkeep fund of the property
  R    50 Will go towards the medical care fund for the children
The organisation has been registered as a Trust (Reg IT 3481/2002).
It is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (Reg 029-185-NPO); and has PBO status (930001787 for tax deductible donations).
